Medicine Buddha

This Buddha symbolizes positive, joyous feelings and attitudes that pass through each organ and circulate throughout our whole system so that our energies are transformed and balanced. The Medicine Buddha holds a healing herb in the right hand, and a begging bowl in the left.
Healing in Buddhism ultimately refers to awakening. The ignorance that is convinced of the existence of self can be healed with awakening wisdom and awakening compassion.

Avalokiteshvara

The Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Avalokiteshvara , also known as Chenrezig, is the embodiment of infinite compassion. Long ago he vowed not to return to nirvana until he had liberated all beings from suffering.
When one’s heart is steeped in compassion, no dissension can bring disruptions; if one’s heart is strengthened by compassion, the mind enjoys sweet coolness, like a clear pool which no passion can agitate, no fire or anger can destroy.

Green Tara

Tara is the spiritual friend of all sentient beings. She is invoked as a radiant lamp in the darkness of unknowing, as a guide to realization amidst obstacles to enlightenment, as a welcome companion at the time of death, and as a refuge of light in the dark womb of rebirth.
Like the sun which emits countless rays, compassion is the source of all inner growth and positive action. Its power to transform ourselves and others so that our lives become radiant and light.

Enlightenment Buddha

When Shakyamuni took his seat under the Bodhi Tree, resolving to ease the suffering of living beings through his Enlightenment, the forces of Mara gathered to distract him from his purpose. The "demons" are aspects of self-attachment and self-grasping. As the higher awareness of Enlightenment dawns, such attachment melts.
Rays of light by the hundreds of thousands emanate from this Buddha’s body and spread throughout the fields of the Jinas. In this instant all worries are set aside: suffering, pride and hatred no longer torment anyone forever more.

Viewing freedom as intrinsic to our being, we discover that our lives are what we make of them. All options are open, our choices are unlimited. When we have knowledge, space grants us unbounded opportunity, and time presents us with infinite possibilities for change.
