Septarian Sphere

Septarian was formed in an ancient sea floor over 50 million years ago. Unlike most geodes which are of volcanic origin, Septarians are sedimentary. The yellow center is formed by calcite crystals which are framed by brown aragonite crystals.

This Septarian sphere is from Utah and include a display stand.

Measures approximately 1 1/2” in diameter and weighs 8.5 oz.
