A labyrinth is a winding pathway that leads to a center. Walking a labyrinth helps quiet the mind, open the soul and evokes feelings of wholeness and unity. It is an ancient metaphor for one’s spiritual journey dating back more than 4000 years. Labyrinths are found in almost every major religious tradition in the world and are an integral part of many cultures. They define sacred space.

Perhaps the most famous labyrinth is the one built on the floor of the Chatres Cathedral in France around 1200 AD. Thousands of people have walked this pathway which represents the journey through life. The following labyrinths can be walked with your fingers or used with a stylus. They are small enough to use on a desk or table, placed on your lap, or carried with you.

From the author, “Unlike many self-help books, this book doesn't offer to change your whole life, just to reorient and reframe it in useful concentric circles that take you both deeper inside and allow you to go to your outer life more enriched as well” This user-friendly guide unlocks the mystery of the labyrinth and provides a guide to making and using labyrinths for meditation, prayer and celebration.

Jill Kimberly Hartwell Geoffrion, Lauren Artress
Based on her experience at Chartres Cathedral in France and her training with Lauren Artress at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, Jill Kimberly Hartwell Geoffrion has created a simple, meaningful approach to preparing for, undertaking, and meditating on labyrinth walks. "Praying The Labyrinth" is a journal that will lead the uninitiated seeker into a spiritual exercise of self-discovery through scripture selections, journaling questions, poetry, and space for personal reflection. While it may be the perfect introduction to the art of walking the labyrinth, this book can also be used by seasoned labyrinth users to bring new and deeper meaning to their spiritual lives.
