Spessartine Garnet & Topaz Pendant

This is an extraordinary pendant. Spessartine garnet was once considered a rare collectors gem until 1991 when a deposit was found in the mountains of Nambia. Then another deposit was found in 1999 in the remote bushlands of Nigeria. Spessartine is considered a special stone. Not only is it beautiful but it is also hard and completely untreated. The color of this Spessartine is that of an orange-red. It has not been faceted, rather left in its natural form. This pendant also features a faceted blue topaz and a silver fairy. Swirls of silver with touches of gold fill surround this pendant. It measures 2 1/4" in length from the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant and 1" at its widest part.
Unique, one-of-a-kind piece
